FISTF

The sooner someone sets up a rival Federation to FISTF the better.

This is out of control.

I voted for this new board as i thought the last board had many faults, this current board though has NOTHING positive about it.

I regret, and i think everyone else who voted for Catania will regret voting for him.

Please, no more talks of EGMs, elections and stuff. Just leave FISTF, forget it and set something new up. I think eventhough this has been a terrible period many lessons will have been learned. Just forget all about FISTF and create a new world body. World Table Soccer Association, International Table Soccer Federation, European Table Soccer Federation or something like that. I mean, wtf is Sports Table Football anyway???

A great chance here to create something new, exciting, something that will be supported by the majority of nations and also to right a lot of wrongs. The previous board would have to ask themselves why people voted for this new board. Why were so many nations p*ssed off with the way things were going that they wanted change. Once those questions have been answered an association even better than FISTF can be created.

We cant go back though, only forward, let Malta and Greece have FISTF and create a NEW federation!

I have read many posts from Vincent that i laugh at because they COMPLETELY contradict what he was saying a few years ago. But this is good, maybe now that he's taken that step back from leading the game he can see some the stuff he was doing and trying to make happen was just impossible. THere will be many people in the same situation as this.

It sometimes needs a break from things for people to realise what was going wrong and to realise mistakes. SOmetimes you just cant see what the problems are until you're not part of it anymore!

Anyway, leave FISTF and create a new world order! I think its the only option left. Catania wont let go of FISTF!

Respectable approach. In principle, I hate losing without trying though.

FISTF belongs to all nations and all table football players.

Mike changes could also be requested from the nations another way than asking for an EGM in november 2010.
Feedback and Acting are the keywords the associations left beside for many years. It is really a shame that we are in the current situation now, and now you ask for another world federation, because you don't see any way out of the situation you particullary caused for FISTF with your vote.
Thinking before acting would be an advantage sometimes.
All those things the current board could use to make a better work were not available before september. Who knows what work could have been done by the previous board with a sports commission and a CoN, but people never were interested to be part of the FISTF work.
When things are running very bad people start action, but nobody is interested to support with time and energy if everything is almost ok. Nobody was interested all the years to bring FISTF from just ok to very good or perfect and now some people are proud of it, if they manage it to bring FISTF from bad to ok again with new elections.

NO new global body !
Right now we have some fights here and some fights there. It is time to channel the interests. That's all we should do for now. And we should learn from the past for a better future.

BUT: if the current board denies an EGM (for whatever reasons) we have two opportunities:

1. We can let a lawyer earn a hell lot of money !
2. We can create a new international tf body

If the current board is going to damage FISTF by ignoring the requesting countries (EIGHT associations requested the EGM!) we should leave them playing their own game. They could call themselves BoD without member nations .... nice idea !

Please keep in mind (and maybe ask Laurent Garnier) how much work it was to create FISTF back in the 90's. I don't think we will find enough encouraged, reliable and capable persons to do the work again.

A new federation is nonsense.
It's time for all the people not elected, from nations who want the EGM, stop working for Catania and let him alone with those who still support him.
The EGM can be held with or without him and all decisions will be valid on the EGM if the majority of nations agreed.
Let's be united and solve this problem asap.
Let's decide when and where will be the EGM now.

I don't know exactly what you mean but there is one point I totally agree I changed my mind: as a president, I used to say table football is a sport. Now I'm totally sure it's not a sport

I understand Mike's post very well. Taking into consideration that he almost single-handedly does things in Scotland, means he has no energy for this nonsense of Catania. So a new federation, maybe at first a lighter version of FISTF, is understandably enticing.

I would, however, first see out the EGM and what comes out of it. If there is no progress in FISTF (as a properly working federation) after the EGM, then it's time to seriously think about this. Or we can always hire a lawyer, which should be done anyway, to get Catania to answer for his doings.
