Worthing Satellite - another joke?
Looks like SD accepted to give WR points for the Worthing Satelllite played last sunday. This tournament never appeared in any calendar. Also, it was played at the same time as an Open in Scotland (!). Even worse, the organizers didn't respect the basic rules to organize tournaments:
- no seeds or top players
- one player qualified by group (!!!)
If only I knew the tournament counted or the WR, i could have travelled there because it's just about 2 hours away from my place (despite having to take the channel tunnel).
So what's this joke?

Re: Worthing Satellite - another joke?
as it seems the board started a promotion campaign.
Of course it is out of any rule and there for it is really sad to read that.
All the years we tried to make things better will be thrown away now. The board after that will have the whole work again to make people respecting rules again.
My luck is that I won't be one of them, but I know how hard the work will be.

Re: Worthing Satellite - another joke?
ESTFA asked if we could host a satellite back in the autumn. I confirmed long before Christmas and started promoting the event (even via my signature on here) back then. FISTF failed to put us on the calendar...
This was written on the english forum by Brian Barnes, who was the organiser if I understood correctly.
The tournament rules, of course, but how about the Sports department taking care of the calendar...

That's sad. On the counterpart, the organizer should have respect the FISTF format as well (seeds, 2 qualify from each group,...)
