I believe it's by submitting a transfer form to FISTF, but check the Handbook ? You leaving Hot Club then Mike ?

INDEED THIS IS THE WAY OF DOING
But please do not forget that this is a normal transfer and you are not able anymore to join any other team ==> this means that you will not be able to play any FISTF team competition with any team this year...
We already had plenty of cases in the past so that I want to inform.

I do not see any reason why becoming free agent.
I suppose this was done for players who did not want to play for their former team, nor to play in team event during one year.

My suggestion is then to wait for having a new club and request for this transfer to the FISTF.
If guide is still accurate, you can do it till end of December, but only if you haven't been playing for your former team since September 2010.

So as long as I dont play for my current club I could still sign for another club up before the end of the year???
I'm just interested as it doesnt look like my club is going to travel at all this season but i wouldnt mind playing at least a couple of FISTF events. Just wondering if becoming a free agent is worth it but if registering as a free agent is the same as signing for another club then i'm not going to go down that route and become one!
