independent league in australia
here in australia I run an independent league, that is now celebrating it's 40th anniversary...1971-2010. We play March through to November, a 30 game regular season, with two domestic cups and three interleague cups. We have a second tier which plays 46 match regular seasons while also competing for the two domestic cups. We abide, primarily, by the original subutteo rules, with some adjustments to give a more competitive edge to games. The teams are a mixture of some famous real teams and other player named teams. The top tier is made up of 16 teams, plays 30 matches, with the bottom three teams at the end of each season facing relegation. We have recently started a new points format...5 points for an away shutout win of 3 goals or more...4 points for an away win...2 points for an away draw...3 points for a home win and 1 point for a home draw. I post results on my facebook profile under notes...Jack McBride...Vincent has me on his friends list. You can follow our little competition for the remainder of this season and see if you like our system. The season is split into two halves...march to june...august to november. In the Winter Break, teams compete in The Winter Cup, an annual tournament that sees 32 teams play a match every two days until there are only two teams left, over a four week period. Thank you...Jack.

Re: independent league in australia
Do you have 32 individuals taking part in your league?
Or do you play each play multiple teams?
How do you do home versus away to give the home team an advantage?
