Re: Extraordinary Congress
This is from Alan Collins. It seems to me that FISTF Bod is now Alan Collins.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Hi national federation chairmen of THE WORLD
Today a email was sent to you all from a impostor at FISTF.
Silvio does not act for FISTF as a legal chairmen of this federation and
has no legal
voice over myself when it comes to FISTF WORK since he left FISTF on Monday
of this week due to not being legal after false elections in 2010 took place
were his team had not the correct legal people to stand with him.(GREEK
PRESIDENT)
i there for would like all national federation chairmen to ignore this silly
email from a man who is no longer FISTF chairmen and you will get more email
in the next 24 hrs to correct the past and make things all a lot clear for
you all
all access to funds are safe for fistf and nothing will be given to silvio
as he is no longer the FISTF chairmen of this sport-world ranking has been
put on hold until the federation and all member nations get together or make
email votes in the next 7 days OR ARRANGE A DECENT PLACE FOR A MEETING.
FISTF will send you more email in the next 24 hrs for votes-the elections of
2010 are now VOID and new elections will take place either online via email
or in a more central place in the EU-Belgium or Germany.
Many thanks
FISTF

Re: Extraordinary Congress
We have to be careful, really careful. We have an official announcement from Silvio. The content of Alan's letter cannot be easily proved. What if the whole story of Alan/Silvio is a bad trick ?
I don't hope so but: BE CAREFUL !

Re: Extraordinary Congress
I agree with Janus.
Carefully. One thing is the anger and other statutes.
By the way, I offered Madrid because it is better solution than Malta.

Re: Extraordinary Congress
I would like to be more precisely: if Silvio is not legal president and due to the circumstances in Greece the FISTF elections from 2010 are void then Alan Collins himself is no longer legal .....
Nice situation, isn't it ?

Re: Extraordinary Congress
Very logical consideration ..... Janus.
But FISTF Elections have nothing to do with the Greek situation.
To become a member FISTF not need to be manager in your country.
one does not override the other.

I am sorry Piero, I think you are wrong. If the representative of a country is not legal, then his vote in a EGM is not legal. So, the whole election process is void.
What if a greek player comes to Madrid and vote for Greece without the permission of the national association? Will it be OK for you? If he also brings a friend with him to attend the EGM will it be OK also?
Think it over please.

I know but Alan is claiming that the FISTF elections 2010 are void due to a mistakenly elected president in Hellas who came into power at FISTF. This is a matter I totally agree. I already talked to Silvio in this matter earlier and explained to him that the pending situation in Greece could cause problems in FISTF because it was Mr. Koutroumanos voting for Greece as its representative (and as president of PATFAP!) at the elections in Frankfurt. All votings from him in Frankfurt were void as he wasn't correctly elected in Greece.
So if the FISTF elections are completely void then also Alan's election is void. It is so easy ...

Re: Extraordinary Congress
I am 99% sure that the greek court will officialy give the decision before 26 february.
We know that we will have immediately a provisional BoD of 5 members. We want Greece to take part in EGM with S-ELECTED represantives.
In this occasion we will inform you with legal way.
5 weeks is a lot of time.
If we didn't took in time the official decision of court we will respect the FISTF decision for cancel the greek association as FISTF member until legal elections.
I think that is the fair solution for all.

Re: Extraordinary Congress
A few suggestions by someone who foresaw a whole year ago, what was going to happen to FISTF:
Don't let the opportunity of the EGM fly away. No matter what the opinion or the actions of remaining BoD member(s), FISTF must have an election during the EGM.
"Small" nations don't have to be afraid of the idea of splitting. "Large" nations (like Italy) are more afraid of it. Let me tell you why: "Small" nations are more than "large" ones and have fewer players. You can organise attractive international tournaments and World Cups only when many nations participate. So, in the theoritical case of a split, a federation of "small" nations will have a better opportunity to organise more attractive international tournaments in many different places. And because in "large" countries there are a lot of players, you will always be able to find enough players from "large" countries to participate the "small" nations federation games, while it will be very difficult for "large" countries federation games to attract many players from "small" countries, because there are not so many.
So, tell mr de I-Know-Everything that he cannot blackmail you the way he did in Rain. FISTF will NOT split up. FISTF must (and will) elect a new BoD during the next EGM.
PS Please, do not forget that it was thanks to the fruitful efforts of a handful of players in Greece, who fought for democracy in court for more than two years, that FISTF had the chance to get rid of the dictatorship of the "professionals".

Re: Extraordinary Congress
A splitting is the latest possible solution.
Anyway I agree Italy has much more to lose than the small countries in case of a splitting... It's therefore in the interest of Italy to have a bit less ambition and to understand the desires of all other nations.

Re: Extraordinary Congress
Please don't talk about split. We need unification. We have to go for it. We have to calm down the whole situation. There is no alternative to FISTF.

Janus, no one has spoken about splitting. On the contrary, my arguments are here to prove that split cannot be used as a means for blackmailing by anyone. If anyone wants to leave FISTF, let him go. FISTF will not be split.

Re: Extraordinary Congress
About those 2 letters of Collins: if they are telling the truth (I believe they are), then FISTF has no Bod right now, which is not a very good situation. Then why don't we put the old Bod (Coppenolle, Eder etc.) back in power an interim ? We could still have the EGM in Madrid.
