U12 category
For many years everyone agreed having the U12 category as "official" would be a huge mistake. Under the pressure of Italy, the category became official and what's happening now? We have a world cup with 2 countries (Italy & Belgium). Sorry but it's ridiculous...
Re: U12 category
as i can read in the italian forum, piero is blaming (again) the old BoD and the location Rain for this failure.... but i wonder when we had seen the last u12 team of spain?
Re: U12 category
Since seven months we learn what happens when dreamers rules.
Now they will be fired soon. All of them.

Re: U12 category
Even if they keep on saying there will be no elections. What a joke. I don't like their sense of humor. Very funny to read also Catania writing "We invite all of you to start thinking in the right way."
So what is the right way?

In what sports do small children play a World Cup?
I would never have my own kids play "for real" at that age. It's the age of having fun without excessive pressure.
I also expect the parents to make sure that the other tournament doesn't have to wait for the kids (completely wrong to demand that from the kids).

Re: U12 category
In Belgium the 2 best U12 players are the sons of other players (Florian Giaux, Kenny De Schuyteneer) and in the next few years it will be similar with the son of Michaël Bertholomé, the son of Benoit Vanwissen, the son of David Van den Houte,... We can't really expect to have very good "brand new players" in the U12 category who come "from nowhere". The existing scene in Belgium is like a small miracle. That nations like France (who has been the "teacher" in youth program in the 90's) are unable to send a team reflects that the U12 category is too complicated to be run at international level.

Re: U12 category
That nice Max .. you know how much it cost to go to Rain? 500 euros per person.
AFM paying for the trip to the slecting under19 (flight, hotel, food, everything), but was impossible to bring to the under 15 and under 12.
And certainly not a place for parents to come sightseeing ..
Main sarcasm is not the case.
Thanks
Piero

Re: U12 category
Those are only the cost for the players from Murcia, but for them anything outside of Great Britain is expensive I guess.
From other spanish destinations Munich is not expensive.

Re: U12 category
Watch the situation of the U12 category for the last 20 years. it was always something small. The fact the category becomes official should in no case be enough to attract hundreds of new players. And travelling with U12 players has always been a problem. Telling that the world cup is in Rain is far too easy...
