Re: Nominations for the World Cup in Rain
Does anyone have a copy of the WC entry form in Word format ? At the moment I only have the pdf version which I cannot write on to submit the English entries.
Any help appreciated, my email is martinhodds@yahoo.co.uk if you can help.
Many thanks

No news from nations such as Portugal, Scotland, Wales, Austria, Denmark, Norway, the USA, Malta, Singapore, Cyprus,... about coming to the world cup?

There are no news from Portugal about the FISTF WC2010. Last Monday APS BoD sent an email to the players asking for those who are interested to attend.
In an not official base I would say there are no interested.
In other hand, we have players moving from italian clubs to spanish clubs. Portuguese table football is still being emptied by foreign clubs, enriching their competion and impoverishing more and more the poor portuguese table football.
Is FISTF interested in this situation ? It's time to build good regulations to protect nations with few players like Portugal.

Re: Nominations for the World Cup in Rain
I think national associations have to create attractive competitions. If there aren't, top players will prefer to play abroad...

It's not so simple. Those players should organize themselves such competions and maintain clubs in Portugal but they prefer others to do it for them. Soon Portugal won't have competion or players. Noone should wonder why Portugal won't have competitors in the WC2010. This is the main reason. New rules needed urgently.

I feel sorry about this point... In my personal name, i didn't received any e-mail from APS "BoD", actually, i don't really care, i'm not interested to go! I just wanna say that's a strange situation no Portuguese players in the next WC, i think the first time since so many years...

Hi Sergio,
I'm very sorry to read your comment. We all should care about the portuguese situation. I would like to invite you to discuss this issue with the portuguese players in the portuguese forum. If you are not happy with the situation as I am it's time to do something before it's to late. Contact me.

Re: Nominations for the World Cup in Rain
Hello maybe some comments from my end to that thread.
1. I'm wondering about the webmaster of the world cup homepage. I'm responsible for the starter list in the sports department , so I hope I have the only official list in my hands and so far I only have the registrations from England, Wales, Belgium, Finland and France!?
I think the WC homepage should only include an official list of starters, so it should be the same list the FISTF Sports department has at the moment. Hopefully there won't be troubles because of that different lists.
2. Maybe it is a bit off-topic to discuss here about the situation in an association, but I think it doesn't make sense always to ask FISTF for changes, if there are problems in the association. I would start working in the association and analyze the real problems, I don't think that FISTF can finally solve the problem.
I agree on Vincent's opinion. It is also a bit strange that the association asks one week before the deadline if there is somebody interested to travel to the WC!? If it is true i think nobody has to wonder that there aren't portugesian players in Rain.
